Newquay Locksmith Services are part of the family operated business that's known as Taylors Locksmiths. It was created in 1948 by the late John Taylor in the North of England in Gateshead but his grandson would take the business to Newquay in 2005 and started to operate in Newquay as a business until Steve went to university. By 2013 Newquay Locksmiths was almost dead, only taking on a few jobs by word of mouth and as favours as Steve concentrated on the main family business and multiple training schools but by 2017 he had transformed the main family business and went back to concentrating on the development of Cornwall and Devon Locksmith Training which eventually trained Adam Heard our Truro based locksmith and Steve could now focus on the Newquay Locksmith Service as its old website did not rank very well and the business operate but very quietly until this website was designed by Blue Reef Designs. Now Newquay Locksmith Services are focused on delivery the best priced locksmith service in Newquay and Cornwall.

Newquay Locksmith Service or what was called Newquay Locksmiths as back then we only had us and and Headlocks in Newquay who we always recommend when we are busy. We still stand by our old website and facebook advertising, No fix, No Charge! You get a 90 day guarantee on all work and a full parts warranty. We still only use the best brands of locks from Yale, Era, Chubb etc.
We still give the RNLI 10% off along with all NHS, teachers, emergency workers, military, charities etc.
Today we have a Google Business page where people can now leave us reviews and contact us. We will still beat any price offered.

Newquay Locksmith Service is a family based business and always has been. We do not use expensive call centres and we believe in community and word of mouth and strive to deliver the best service and pricing we can as a small local business. However we are full trained with Steve being a level 6 awarded master locksmith. To put that into focus. There are only around 9 level 6's in the UK. He is a LTTA certified locksmith instructor which means he has had to be cleared by the UK government to be able to deliver the kind of high security training he delivers through the UK Vetting Service UKVS. We are fully insured with full public liability insurance. All staff are CRB / DBS checked and we are full members of the Guild of Master Locksmiths UK along with been Safe Contractor Approved. We have also undertaken a every course we could on everything from consumer law and such to make sure our terms and conditions are fair.
We strive to keep pir pricing low. Cornwall over the years have been sadly branded as "rip of Cornwall" by visitors due to the high costs but people don't see that in reality, most of Cornwall has around 8 weeks of a year to make a yearly wage. However we have made sure that we are around £40 to £70 cheaper than other locksmiths in Cornwall. We are charge what the Guild of Master Locksmiths UK state is the minimum we can charge to protect the locksmith industry from under cutting and that's a £54.99 labour fee.
We do NOT charge any hidden fees! Many locksmiths Cornwall charge a call out fee of £100 before they have even picked up a tool, they then charge labour rates of £90 to £120 per hour on top and then add VAT to the bill along with maximising profit on parts and they then have hidden fees such as sundry fees, damaged tool fees, fuel fees. A simple lock change can cost anything from £170 to £250. But now with Newquay Locksmith Services. We do NOT charge VAT saving you 20% on your bill, we do NOT have any call out fees and we do NOT have any hidden charges. We charge our labour fee and parts at trade price. Basically you get the parts for what we pay for them.
Labour Fees
Our labour fees are based on an hourly rate however 90% of jobs are completed in the first hour. After the first hour, our rate goes back to standard rate. So if you called us at 9pm on a Sunday, then the labour rate would be £84.99 and after that first hour it would drop down to £54.99 per hour.

9am to 5pm labour rate £54.99 (standard rate)
5pm to 10pm £84.99 (time and half)
10pm to 6am £110 (double time)
6am to 9am £84.99 (Time and half)

Jill is also a fully trained locksmith and skilled lock picker who has been in the industry since 2007, so she can answer all of your questions on the phone and if she can't our two locksmiths will.
